You’ve touched a truck, now touch a budget … and some more trucks.

The city will host a “Touch a Budget Expo” on Tuesday, March 29 at the Decatur Recreation Center, 231 Sycamore Street. The event lasts from 5 p.m. 7 p.m. The event is free to attend.

“Touch a Budget is designed to engage people of all ages in the city’s budgeting process in a fun, relaxed atmosphere (think music, food, & prizes),” the announcement from the city says. “In addition to learning about the city’s plans for spending in the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2016, you might win a prize (plus there is special ‘Keep It IndieCatur’ popcorn created for the event by New Orleans SnoBall Café so get there early!).”

People who missed Touch a Truck this past Saturday are in luck, the city says.

“Public safety and public works vehicles will be parked in front of the Recreation Center for children and adults to see up close,” the announcement says. “Touch a Budget attendees will also be able to visit the Visitors’ Center tent and sign up as special events volunteers.”
