From Decatur Police Lt. Jennifer Ross:

On Saturday, March 12, 2016 at approximately 11:20 pm, Decatur Police responded to an armed robbery in the 500 block of West Howard Avenue.  The victim reported he was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached from the rear by a male holding a knife and demanding money.  The victim gave the suspect the cash he had in his wallet and the suspect ran toward Adair Street.  While circulating the area, Officer Copeland observed the suspect leaning into the driver’s window of a vehicle in the 200 block of Adair Street. The suspect ran and a brief foot pursuit ensued before officers captured the suspect without further incident.  A second victim, a pizza delivery driver, approached officers and stated the suspect had just robbed him at knifepoint.  The second victim reported he finished making a delivery and was about to leave when the suspect approached his driver’s window and held a knife at his throat through the window and demanded money.  The second victim gave the suspect the cash he had on him. Officer Copeland then arrived and the suspect fled.  Officers recovered the knife and money from the suspect when he was taken into custody.  Neither victim was injured during the robberies.

The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Sage Rogers of Avondale Estates, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and obstruction of an officer.
