Tickets on sale for Druid Hills Tour of Homes & Gardens

Tickets are on sale for the 48th annual Druid Hills Tour of Homes & Gardens.

The tour in the historic neighborhood takes place Apr. 22-24 and will feature six homes and one garden this year. There is also a Makers Market which “will feature paintings, prints, jewelry, clothing, furniture, handmade items, baked goods and sculpture of Atlanta artists.”

The tour is touted as one of the longest running and premiere tour of homes in Atlanta.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Groups of six or more people can get discounts. Tickets can be purchased through the Druid Hills Tour website. A press release says, “Proceeds from the tour and events benefit the Druid Hills neighborhood, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.”

The tour will also feature a series of free events open to the public, including the Makers Market:

-Makers Market on Saturday 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM Slice & Pint Parking Lot, Emory Village

-Local Bands on Saturday 5:00 – 9:00 PM, Slice & Pint Parking Lot, Emory Village, featuring 688 Band (Ron Huey, Nic Huey, Charles Calhoun and Price Carlton) and Bradley Cole Smith

-Druid Hills Youth Music Showcase on Friday 5:30 – 7:30 PM, Emory Village Plaza, featuring the Red Handed Band – CeCe Yarbrough, Charles Eastman and Nate Marquardt; Rowan Kennerly and Friends; duet by Chase Calhoun and Taylor Liebold; and solos by Charles Eastman.

-Patch Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk and Tot Trot on Sunday 8:00 AM (requires registration and entry fee; proceeds benefit Press On To Cure Childhood Cancer: http://www.pressonfund.org.

-Fernbank Elementary Open House Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

-Lullwater Conservation Garden Plant Sale

Volunteers are also needed. A Druid Hills Civic Association email said, “If you would like to volunteer your time, please visit our online volunteer sign up at druidhillstour.org/volunteer or contact Elizabeth Douglas.”
