‘Electrical issues’ cause water service problems throughout Atlanta

The Atlanta Department of Watershed Management said “electrical issues” were causing service disruptions throughout the city on the evening of April 30.

Residents of numerous neighborhoods have reported low or no water pressure, including Kirkwood, Old Fourth Ward, Midtown, Inman Park and Virginia Highland. Atlanta INtown reports that the issues have also affected Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Some residents have reported that pressure has returned. The Department of Watershed Management provided two short updates via Twitter regarding the problem.

“Electrical issues have affected two pumping stations. We are working quickly to resolve,” one tweet said.
