Oakhurst Presbyterian holding a town hall meeting for DeKalb County candidates

Early voting in the DeKalb County primary elections is only a few weeks away, and there will be an opportunity to meet some of the candidates during a town hall on April 19.

The meeting will be held at Oakhurst Presbyterian Church located at 118 Second Ave.
Decatur, GA 30030. It begins at 7 p.m. The event is being hosted by Create Community 4 Decatur: Black Lives Matter.

According to the announcements, candidates for DeKalb County CEO, County Commission, District Attorney, sheriff and judges for the superior court will be in attendance.

“It will be a moderated town hall meeting with a chance for the audience to ask questions,” the announcement says. “The event is free and open to the public.”

DeKalb Strong is hosting a candidate forum on April 30, and many of the candidates in the upcoming May 24 primary have confirmed their attendance.  It will be held Saturday, April 30, at Rehoboth Baptist Church, 2997 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA  30084. The event begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
