Does your significant other have a baby on the way? Are you scared out of your mind?

Have a beer. This Sunday, May 15, there will be a childbirth class at Wild Heaven Brewery for partners who are expecting. No pregnant moms will be allowed, the event announcement notes.

“Being a great support to a mother in labor can be challenging,” the event announcement says. “The goal of this class it to help prepare you for this role by equipping you with ideas, tools and strategies.”

The announcement adds, “AND THERE IS BEER!”

The class will last two hours and will cover the following topics:

– Defining your role in labor

– The timeline of labor, birth and the postpartum period

– How to effectively give encouragement

– Taking care of yourself

– How to communicate with care providers and hospital staff

Dealing with the unexpected

“There will be plenty of opportunities for you to taste the wonderful selection of Wild Heaven Beers during the event and you’ll go home with a souvenir Wild Heaven Craft Beer glass. Be prepared…this isn’t your typical childbirth class,” the event announcement says. “You will learn a lot and have a great time too!!”

Heads up: the class is being filmed and participants will likely be in a group shot.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and costs $20 to attend. To register, click here.

The Wild Heaven brewery is located at 135 Maple Street #B, Avondale Estates, GA.
