Grindhouse Killer Burgers set to open in Decatur next week
The owner of Grindhouse Killer Burgers says the Decatur location of the Georgia burger chain will be open next week.
Owner Alex Brounstein told Decaturish that the restaurant has its staff hired, in place and ready to go. The restaurant’s McDonough Street location has been in the works since 2014 and the opening date has been a moving target, until now.
“We’re definitely on target,” Brounstein said. “We’re looking good right now. We’re going to do some test runs this week. There’s a chance we could be open this weekend. Certainly by the beginning of next week we’ll definitely be open.”
Grindhouse was founded in 2009 and its first location was the Sweet Auburn Curb Market in Atlanta. It’s known for good, modestly-priced burgers and boozy milkshakes.
Brounstein said he isn’t planning anything special to mark the restaurant’s grand opening.
“We’re just gonna throw the doors open and see what happens,” he said.
