The DeKalb County Police Department SWAT team entered an apartment on Tuesday evening looking for an armed robbery suspect who allegedly threatened officers over social media.

The Police Department said the suspect, identified in local media reports as William McLeod, “evaded capture” and police are still looking for him.

According to CBS Atlanta, there were children inside the apartment at the Avondale Forest apartments near Avondale Estates. After the children were evacuated, officers used tear gas inside the apartment. The apartment is rented by the suspect’s sister, who is asking police to pay for the damages to her property.
