One of the restaurants planned for a new development at 2nd Avenue and Hosea Williams is officially open for business.

The developers announced that Greater Good BBQ, located on the northwest corner of the site, opened its doors on Aug. 10.

“This is a softish opening but they are welcoming out the community that has been very patiently awaiting this first addition to the corners of ‪#‎hosea2nd,” the Facebook page for the development says.

The hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Owner Bill Wrench said the opening was, “Unbelievable yesterday.”

“It’s been incredible,” he said.

Wrench added, “We’re glad to be here.”

Another restaurant planned for the development is a neighborhood restaurant and bar operated by pastry chef Aaron Russell and his wife Jamie Russell called Poor Hendrix.
