Person dies after being hit by MARTA train

A person who was hit by a train on the tracks near the Candler Park station on Wednesday morning has died, according to various news sources.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported the person had head and arm injuries and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
In a Twitter post, MARTA wrote the emergency situation was causing extensive delays on the blue and green lines.
