Avondale Estates Police say a burglary occurred on the 900 block of Nottingham Drive around noon on Saturday, Oct. 22.

“The suspect entered the home via the back door and attempted to take a television, but was discovered by the homeowner who called police,” a statement from the Police Department says. “Upon arrival, police gave chase on-foot but the suspect fled the scene and no items were taken.”

The suspect is described as a young, black man in his early 20’s, with a dark complexion and wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

“Any information regarding this incident should be fowarded to Investigator Tom Gillis at (404) 391-4526,” the Police Department said. “As always, if you see any suspicious persons or activity, please call 911 immediately.”
