Decatur Police responded to a report of a robbery early Tuesday morning, Nov. 29.

“The victim stated that at approximately 6:20 a.m., he attempted to use the Delta Community Credit Union ATM in the 200 block of West Ponce de Leon Avenue but the ATM was not functioning,” Lt. Jennifer Ross said. “He returned to his vehicle and a male approached, pointed a handgun at him and stated, ‘You know what this is! Give me everything!’ The victim handed over his wallet, cell phones, laptop and car keys.”

Ross said the suspect got into a light gray Nissan Murano driven by another male and fled the area traveling north on Commerce Drive.

“Both suspects were described as black males in their early 20’s wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts,” Ross said.
