Hammers were swinging in Oakhurst on Sunday, Jan. 15, on day two of Decatur’s annual MLK Service Project.

Hundreds of volunteers fanned out over the community to make home improvements for elderly residents that will allow them to remain in their homes as the community grows and changes around them.

Decaturish photographer Rebecca Breyer attended Sunday’s event. The service project ends on Jan. 16, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
