An officer was on patrol in the 500 block of Oakview Road and she saw several people running in the middle of the road. One of the people told the officer he had just been robbed and had his cell phone stolen. The victim and a witness told the officer they were walking eastbound on Oakview Road when they saw four males walking behind them.

One of the males grabbed the victim from behind and threw him to the ground, the Police Department said.

“Once he was on the ground he was punched multiple times in the back,” the Police Department said. “One of the suspects grabbed his cell phone from the front pocket of his pants and then demanded to know the password.”

Another officer found and arrested two of the suspects near the intersection of Adams Street and West Davis Street shortly after the crime occurred.
