Tess World Designs is moving into the space on West Ponce de Leon formerly occupied by Boogaloos Boutique.

The Pittsburgh-based company is owned by Theresa Akabua and the Decatur shop will be located between Taco Mac and Decatur Bikes. Tess World specializes in “quality, authentic fabrics, including African Print Fabric, Woodin, Swiss lace, velvet lace, mud cloth, bazin, java print, African lace, Kente cloth print, Kanga [and] Kikoi.”

The company has an online store, but the manager, Owen Akabua, said plans for Decatur include a public show room.

He said he’s anticipating being open at the end of this month or in March.
