DeKalb County has started to accept applications for summer employment until Mar. 27. Jobs like, “summer food monitors, camp counselors, recreation assistants and bus drivers,” are open for hire by the department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs.

Unless you’re applying for a lifeguard or pool manager position, which is open to applicants age 16 years and older, you must be at least 18 years old to apply. 

All people working at county pools must have “proof of current certification from American Red Cross or other nationally recognized aquatic training programs.”

Likewise, every potential employee must pass an alcohol and drug test as well as a criminal background check before being hired.
