Portion of DeKalb/ West Howard Avenue to close this week for railroad maintenance

DeKalb County says that West Howard/DeKalb Avenue northeast between Paden Circle and Ridgecrest Road Northeast will be closed to through traffic starting at 7 a.m. Feb. 28.

The closure will end on Saturday, March 4 at 7 a.m. The closure will allow for railroad maintenance. The area is in the vicinity of the East Lake Marta station.

“Road closure signs will be posted advising motorists of construction work in the area and of local traffic restrictions,” an announcement from the county says. “Any questions regarding this road closure should be addressed to Ray Porter, Benchmark Consulting at (864) 809-4378.”

In a separate announcement, the county said that Coventry Road between North Parkwood Road and Dyson Drive/Chelsea Circle will be closed from 7 a.m. Feb. 28 to 7 a.m. March 4 to allow for railroad maintenance.
