Decatur Active Living invites all kids (and their parents) to the city’s Touch-a-Truck event on Mar. 25.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. local children can learn can check out a variety of cool vehicles including dump trucks, fire trucks, tractors, police cars and motorcycles. There will also be a school bus available for exploration.

The annual event will take place in the North lot of the East Lake MARTA station. Parking is limited, so riding MARTA, walking, or biking is encouraged.

Families can hop on MARTA and kick off the day with a train ride. If you’re riding your bike, you can register your bike with the Decatur Police Department, which will give out “a special bike pin.”

March is National Nutrition Month, so Touch-a-Truck joined the campaign and will have a food drive for Decatur Emergency Assistance Ministry (DEAM). The food drive will accept canned and nonperishable food items.
