Mental Floss has done a fine public service in letting its readers know who has the best ramen in all 50 states.

Decatur residents won’t have to travel far to find the best ramen in Georgia.

Mental Floss says Decatur’s Taiyo Ramen offers “spectacular craft ramen” and recommends customers try the Duck Ramen or Lamb Tsukemen. It’s also a nifty honor because until very recently Taiyo was operating as Makan. The ramen concept has been in place for less than a year.

The proprietors of Taiyo are hoping for another hit with their new Chinese restaurant in Oakhurst, Double Dragon. It’s moving into the space formerly rented by Saba. The restaurant is expected to open in May.
