Sketch show about the Internet coming to Highwire Comedy

“The Internet Is Trying to Kill You,” a sketch comedy show “exploring the past, present, and future of social technologies,” is coming to Highwire Comedy for a one-night showing on Saturday, Apr. 15.

This comedy show satirizes the evolution of technology, so get ready for sketches that will let you “peer into the world of sexting before phones existed” and “see what humans really learned from the 2001 monolith.”

“The Internet is Trying to Kill You” is a collaborative effort from actors, improvisers and writers local to Atlanta. Written by August Pollak and Jared van Aalten and directed by Andy Coen, the show features Freddy Boyd, Jon Carr, Lindsey Dunn, and Jenny Wentling.

Highwire Comedy is located at 451 Bishop St. NW in Atlanta. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., and the show will start at 10 p.m. Tickets are $6.50 online at https://www-highwirecomedy-com.seatengine.com/shows/54505 or $9.50 at the door.
