On Friday night, May 12, downtown Decatur will be lit up by lanterns during the city’s annual Decatur Lantern Parade.

This event is brought to the city through combined efforts from the Decatur Education Foundation, Color Wheel Studio, Chantelle Rytter, the Decatur Downtown Redevelopment Authority, and the Decatur Arts Alliance.

People marching in the parade should meet with their lanterns at Color Wheel Studio, located at 508 Howard Avenue after 8 p.m. At 9 p.m., Decaturites will parade to the Square alongside Wasted Potential Brass Band and The Black Sheep Ensemble.
