The Atlanta Police Department is looking to fill open positions in the police force, and the City of Atlanta has partnered with the Atlanta Police Foundation to create “a cash incentive program aimed at hiring new employees.”

This cash incentive program is based on referrals, recruit hiring, or relocation.

For referrals, a local city employee can receive “up to $500 for recruiting new civilian and sworn employees who successfully complete the applicable training programs.”

For recruit hiring, city employees can receive “a one-time payment of $500 to approved officer recruits who apply and successfully complete the hiring process in the final quarter of 2017.”

Lastly, for relocation, qualified officers would receive up to $1,000 for relocating to City of Atlanta, made in two equal payments.

As of right now, open positions are Crime Scene Technicians, dispatchers, and Police Officers. For more information, call Lieutenant D’Andrea Price of the Background and Recruitment Unit at (404)546-2584.
