An Aldi grocery store is going up quickly at the Decatur Crossing development and will be open to shoppers next year, the company’s spokesperson says.

Aldi is the second grocery store at Decatur Crossing, the first being Sprouts. There’s also a Walmart across the street at Suburban Plaza.

A spokesperson for Aldi says the Decatur store will open in early 2018.

Aldi is a discount grocery store chain.  According to the company’s website, “The no-frills grocery shopping experience focuses on customers first – delivering high quality food they’re proud to serve their family, responsive customer service, everyday low prices and a quick-and-easy shopping experience with only four to five aisles and all the essentials. Tomorrow’s News today reports that a new Chick-fil-A is also slated to open at the shopping center.
