Decatur’s lacrosse program featured on US Lacrosse’s website

Last week, the Decatur lacrosse program was featured on the US Lacrosse website with a 12-minute video called “Saved by the Stick” produced by Michael Wallin.

Over 10 years ago, US Lacrosse gave Decatur an equipment grant to grow their program, and Wallin’s video that highlights how lacrosse is “helping to enrich lives” for local youth.

Wallin focused on one of Decatur’s former lacrosse players, DeAngelo Watkins, and how the lacrosse program shaped the person he is today.

In addition, the video follows the game for Ousman Sy, a current Decatur lacrosse player and son of refugee parents.
