Decatur High School student Jacob Forsman has earned a spot in the Covenant House Scholars in Service program.

Scholars in Service selects a group of high school students to help homeless youth in Atlanta. Participants also learn about the causes and effects of homelessness.

Covenant House is an organization that offers housing and support services to homeless youth across the country, reaching 80,000 boys and girls each year, according to their website.

Through the program, Forsman will help fundraise for Covenant House and will have a chance to earn a $2,500 college scholarship and present a college-bound member of Covenant House with a matching scholarship. To learn more, click here.
