International Community School mourns 2nd grader killed on her way to the bus

Tluang Tha Men, a second grade student at the International Community School, was killed after she was struck by a car on Feb. 16.
Tha Men, who was 8, was hit at the intersection of Rays Road and Central Drive. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, she was being carried by her mother who was crossing the road to get to the school bus when she was hit by Ejigayheu H. Tsegaye, age 38. The driver was taken into custody and released, a spokesperson for the DeKalb County Police Department said. Charges are pending.

“Her classmates described her as smart, funny, kind, and a global citizen,” the Go Fund Me page says. “She will be greatly missed.”
