Whole Foods 365 development on track to open first stores in late 2018

The developer behind a Whole Foods 365 mixed-use project, S.J. Collins Enterprises, recently announced that the first stores at the shopping center are expected to open in late 2018.

The shopping center, known as North Decatur Square, will be located at North Decatur Road and Church Street. The mixed use-development will house apartments for approximately 450 residents.

The developer also released an updated list of tenants. Companies joining Whole Foods at the center will include:

New retailers named for North Decatur Square

DECATUR, Ga. – Ten new retailers have joined the current lineup at North Decatur Square, Georgia’s newest shopping district by S.J. Collins Enterprises, a commercial real estate development firm.

The retail hub’s newest mixed-use merchants include Big Peach Running Company, Bishops Barbershop, Deka Lash, Carriage Cleaners, Cold Stone Creamery, Comcast, Jason’s Deli, Oh Shi Poke, Tin Drum Asian Kitchen and Allstate.

365 by Whole Foods Market, a new concept grocery store that provides simple, affordable and convenient everyday shopping without sacrificing the quality standards and dedication to food transparency that Whole Foods Market pioneered, is also slated to open at North Decatur Square.

The shopping district’s other occupants will include Avalon Nail Spa, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Club Pilates, gusto! Wood Fire Grill, Hollywood Feed, Regions Bank Sage Dental and Takorea. The site will also feature a four-story apartment community for 450 residents.

“For this unique area in Atlanta, we aimed to attract a refined and diverse merchandising mix – from trendy businesses, fast-casual dining to boutique retail, outdoor dining options and other high-end shops,” said Justin Latone, director of leasing at S.J. Collins. “We are excited about how this shopping destination is shaping up for the up-and-coming Decatur, which was recently ranked the No. 1 best place to live in Atlanta in a survey by Niche.com.”

North Decatur Square will incorporate a pedestrian-friendly design with wide sidewalks, a common gathering area with seating, pocket parks, an acre of open space, multi-use trails for enhanced walkability and Wi-Fi capability across the entire development. The center’s first stores are expected to open in late 2018.
