Continuing a collaboration with Israeli dance choreographers Niv Sheinfeld and Oren Laor, Core Dance Studio will present two works by the duo in performances later this month.

According to a Core Dance press release, the first performance, titled “American Playground,” is an hour-long, humorous homage to American culture. The work represents “what it ‘looks like’ and ‘feels like’ to be American,” incorporating “American” games and experiences like tag and “Duck, Duck, Goose.”

Additionally, Core Dance will perform the U.S. premiere of “The Third Dance,” another work by Sheinfeld and Laor “that explores, through dance, the evolution of a relationship over time,” the release said.

The performances will take place Jan. 31 through Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at 7 Stages Theatre, located at 1105 Euclid Ave NE in Atlanta. Tickets are $20 and are available online here.

Audiences can also attend a conversation with Sheinfeld and Laor on Jan. 27 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The conversation, called “Body as Resistance: Fueling the Spectator with Power and Motivation,” will be facilitated by Heidi Howard, the artistic director of 7 Stages, and will “investigate the potential of art to trigger and inspire activism in the audience.”

The talk is free and open to the public.
