By Jonathan Phillips, contributor Hundreds of people celebrated Mardi Gras in Decatur on Saturday at the annual Mead Road Mardi Gras Parade. Oakhurst was transformed as more than 20 krewes marched to brass bands, all in an effort to raise money to fund music grants for City Schools of Decatur.
The Mead Road Mardi Gras Parade returned on Saturday, Feb. 7. The parade began in 2005.
