Decatur Menorah Lighting on the Square set for Thursday

The city of Decatur is holding a Menorah Lighting on the Square for Hanukkah.

The city celebration of the Jewish Festival of Lights takes place Thursday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m., according to The Decatur Minute.

Hannukah began at sundown on Dec. 6 and lasts for eight days until Dec. 14.

“There will be latkes, music, entertainment, a welcome from the rabbi and the mayor, dancing, and Mr. Dreidel photo ops,” The Decatur Minute says.

Last week, the city tree lighting was held at the Square.
