The developer behind a Whole Foods 365 mixed use project in north Decatur has confirmed several new tenants that are expected to join the grocery store.

Jeff Garrison, a partner with developer S.J. Collins Enterprises, confirmed that the restaurants gusto! and Takorea will be tenants in the North Decatur Square project. Additionally, there will be a pet food store, Hollywood Feed, and a dental practice, Sage Dental.

Garrison said there are other tenants in the works, including a jewelry store and a bank.

The development will be located at North Decatur Road and Church Street and will include about 288 apartment units.

Garrison said he expects businesses will start opening at North Decatur Square in the fall of 2018. He believes residents will be pleased with the project once it’s done.

“We’ve spent a lot of time with the DeKalb Medical’s leadership and have done a number of presentations,” he said. “Because those guys are 2,000 plus employees on that campus, from what we’ve hear this is going to be a great fit. It’ll be an extension of their campus. With all of the walkable features we put in, the neighborhoods surrounding us will [make us] a part of their evening stroll and dinner plans.”
