DeKalb County Police on Thursday found the body of a 1-year-old child and her mother inside a parking deck near Emory Hospital.

So far, police have been tight-lipped about the details. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported the mom is critical and the parking deck was in the 1700 block of Lowergate Drive. Spokesperson Lt. Lonzy Robertson said she was in stable condition Friday morning.

“We are currently deeming it a suspicious death and we do not suspect foul play at this time,” he said.

When asked to clarify, Robertson said, “The incident is still under investigation, but at this time we don’t believe foul play is involved.”
