Nya Slaughter went for a walk in the East Lake community on July 1. The 14-year-old has not been seen since.

She was last seen wearing a blue superman shirt, black jeans and gray converse sneakers.

She is the daughter of Luana Slaughter, one of the founders of the East Lake Security Patrol. The patrol is a community group that works with Atlanta Police to monitor and combat crime in the neighborhood.
